A brief insight into ASME pcc-2 standards

Composite repair systems for the pipelines and the pipe work should meet the ASME PCC-2 standards. These standards include pipelines, pipe works which include elbows, tees, valve bodies, tanks and vessels which includes nozzles and the attachments. Mainly, there are two types of defects which are covered under ASME. 

They are:

Defect type A: They are caused due to external corrosion or due to mechanical damage. By providing timely repair services, it avoids further degradation.

Defect type B: These types of defects are caused due to internal corrosion or due to erosion. The Degradation of a defect will continue even after the repair is applied.
